This position removes and cleans all debris and sludge from drained water basins using high-pressure hoses, shovels, and other heavy-duty tools to remove debris and sludge.
Definition of Basin – holds thousands of gallons of water. Mud settles to the bottom causing build-up over time. These basins are cleaned to remove debris and sludge.
Generally, works 40 hours/week outside (all day) in a variety of extreme weather conditions with constant exposure to outdoor elements.
Must have the ability to carry up to 50 pounds; lift to 75 pounds; remove manhole lids weighing up to 200 lbs. with pry bar; walk on rough, uneven surfaces; lay flat and work in cramped/confined work areas; climb ladders and steps; operate manual, two-handed gate key.
