Sandblaster/General Labourer

Ampjack is looking for 2 - Sandblasters/General Labourer to fill out the roster of our construction team. We are completing project work that is based out of Cumberland, BC. The work will occur in rural areas from Courtenay to Campbell River, Parksville to Duncan and in the Victoria surrounding area. The start and end point for the work will be based out of Cumberland.

The work schedule will typically be 12 hrs./day, Monday through Saturday. Overtime will be paid at 1.5X the regular rate of pay.

This is for project work. Start date is planned for May 4, 2026 and end date will be approximately September 30, 2026. (End date is subject to change)

Applicants must meet the following:

- Have previous experience operating media blasting units and completing surface preparation of steel

- Be safety focused, reliable, motivated and able to follow instructions

- Be physically able to work outside in all weather conditions

- Be capable of walking on uneven ground

- Be capable of carrying up to 100 lbs.

- Be a proven team player and willing to take direction

- Must have a valid Class 3 drivers license and the ability to get to the project area

A field construction background is an asset.

The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test prior to the start of employment.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 15-20 weeks

Pay: $26.50-$32.00 per hour
