Safety Consultant Los Angeles area

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Consultant to join our team in the Los Angeles area.. The Safety Consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing best practices to minimize risks in the workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OSHA regulation, safety policies, solar projects and risk management.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

- Champion a strong, proactive safety culture by promoting safe work practices, recognizing positive behaviors, and coaching employees to correct unsafe actions.

- Educate and train employees on company safety programs through engaging safety training, new hire orientations, and ongoing field support.

- Build strong working relationships with Operations, Crew Foremen, General Foremen, general contractors, owners, and subcontractor safety professionals to support job-specific injury prevention efforts and compliance requirements.

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs through daily field walks, regulatory compliance activities, audit oversight, and regular feedback to regional teams on areas of improvement and recognition.

- Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analyses, Job Hazard Analyses, corrective action plans, and field-based safety issue resolution to reduce risk and improve overall safety performance.

HOURS: Mon-Fri 6:30am -3pm

Requirements:

· A bachelor’s degree in Safety, or; Safety Certification (STSC, CHST, CSP etc) plus 2 years’ experience in Safety.

OR; 4 years’ experience in Safety plus OSHA 30

· Ability to work independently, strong communication skills with ability to influence behaviors.

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour
