Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.
At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.

We're seeking a dedicated Safety and Security Manager to lead our safety initiatives, oversee district-wide security operations, and promote a culture of safety, accountability, and exceptional service.
The Safety and Security Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant environment across all District facilities and events. This role oversees safety programs, risk assessments, training, emergency preparedness, and physical security operations, while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position collaborates with leadership, staff, contractors, and external partners to proactively identify and manage safety risks and enhance security measures.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitors and enforces adherence to OSHA standards and applicable safety regulations; maintains compliance records; conducts inspections and audits.
- Safety Program Development: Designs and manages district-wide safety policies and initiatives.
- Security Oversight: Supervises security personnel; manages contracted security services; coordinates event coverage.
- Inspections & Audits: Oversees fire safety inspections, ADA compliance checks, and regular facility hazard assessments.
- Risk Assessment: Identifies potential hazards for facilities, events, and operations; develops mitigation plans.
- Training & Education: Leads safety and emergency preparedness training sessions for staff.
- Incident Response: Investigates accidents, near-misses, and safety breaches; implements corrective actions.
- Emergency Preparedness: Maintains and drills Active Shooter, Fire Evacuation, and disaster recovery plans.
- ADA Grievance Management: Serves as primary contact for ADA-related concerns; oversees investigations and resolutions.
- Community Engagement: Promotes safety awareness and exceptional service to staff, residents, and visitors.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing safety programs or operations.
- Valid Texas driver's license (or ability to obtain promptly).
- American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or OSHA certification.
- Supervisory experience in safety or security operations.
- Experience with asset management or work order software.
- Strong skills in planning, organizing, and managing multiple projects.
