About The Role

As a Safety Manager at United Utility, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our teams and the success of our projects. Your impact will be felt across the business as you lead efforts to maintain a culture of safety excellence, directly contributing to the success of our power infrastructure projects.


Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections at project sites, identifying and addressing potential hazards.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
Investigate incidents and accidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Provide safety training and support to employees, fostering a proactive safety culture.
Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve safety protocols.


Key Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in safety management within the electric utility or related industry.

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to lead and influence teams in prioritizing safety.

Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.


Key Nice-To-Haves

Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.

Additional relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ASP, CHST).
