Safety Manager
to lead safety strategy across our operations and create an environment where every employee can thrive. In this high-impact role, you'll collaborate with leaders at every level to design, implement, and champion safety programs that go beyond compliance and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do•Lead enterprise-wide safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, and state regulations
•Design and implement proactive safety programs, training, and audits that reduce risk and support long-term safety success
•Partner with Operations, HR, and Environmental teams to align safety strategies with business goals
•Serve as a coach and mentor to safety professionals, building their capabilities and confidence
•Manage and improve key programs such as incident investigation, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work
•Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and external safety partners
•Promote a strong safety culture by aligning policies with Charter’s values and engaging employees at every level
•Lead audits and develop corrective action plans in collaboration with internal teams and insurance partners
•Develop your team and champion leadership at every level—setting performance goals, providing coaching, and recognizing success
What You Bring
•Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Health, or related field (Master’s preferred)
•7+ years of progressive safety experience with at least 4 years in a plant leadership role
•Experience managing safety professionals and leading cross-functional initiatives
•Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety auditing, and risk mitigation strategies
•A collaborative spirit, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence across functions
•Experience with workers’ compensation, regulatory interaction, and return-to-work programs
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the tools needed to manage complex safety data
Preferred Qualifications
•Professional safety certifications (CSP, ASP, CIH, PE)
•Background in manufacturing and industrial environments
•Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, Quality Management Systems, or environmental health
•EMT or First Responder Certification
