Work Location: Hybrid – West Des Moines, IA. After the initial training period, this role requires working onsite at our West Des Moines office three days per week, with two days remote from your home office.

Job Summary: The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent to the organization.

- Manage the recruiting process for a designated company/division by communicating frequently with managers to understand hiring needs.
- Provide proactive analysis of recruiting issues and develops solutions to assist managers with recruiting/hiring decisions.
- Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Collaborate with managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Develop effective recruiting strategies for the region to attract qualified candidates.
- Compile and analyze data to make recommendations regarding the most cost-efficient advertising sources to utilize for recruiting.
- Assist in the creation of job requisitions and with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screen candidates and select qualified candidates for the interviewing phase, and then connects viable candidates with hiring managers.
- Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers and other stakeholders, as necessary.
- May schedule interviews; oversee the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed, develops, and extends employment offers.
- Actively onboard employees and maintains consistent communication with managers and employees.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain membership affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to the industry.
- Organize and attend job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities.
- Improve and grow the company’s professional network and recruitment brand.
- Recommend and implement new strategies, marketing tools, job websites, and programs to attract candidates.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with leaders, vendors, community organizations, and other HR team members to create partnerships that yield success, predictable results, and credibility.
- Consult in the interpretation and application of recruiting practices, guidelines, and programs to ensure consistent application across the organization.
- Host/lead reoccurring recruiting calls for designated company/division managers.
- Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s culture of safety and employee ownership.
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least three years’ experience managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP, preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment and must have a proactive work style along with taking ownership of duties and responsibilities.
- Ability to make independent decisions and resolve issues; ability to handle sensitive personnel matters confidentially and professionally.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service focusing on rapport-building, listening, questioning and patience.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technical.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment.

- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is highly preferred.
