The receptionists play a vital role in the daily function at Cedar Creek Village. As a receptionist, you will be expected to answer phones, greet guests, perform basic cleaning of the Clubhouse, make copies, manage the gift shop, and answer questions regarding the use of the event room located on site. This position requires professionalism, organization, and excellent communication.
- Perform all opening/closing duties (full list of procedures can be found in receptionist binder)
- Answer phones and greet walk in guests promptly, taking messages when necessary.
- Open/close gift shop
- Keep items in gift shops stocked
- Maintain coffee station, cleaning coffee pot at the end of each shift
- Keep lobby area clean, fluff couch pillows and fix arm rest covers periodically throughout each shift.
- Check out storage keys for tenants
- Maintain a daily log for gym/racquetball guests
- Keep office stocked with brochures, rental applications, resident move in folders, notice to vacate packets, and event room rental agreements
- Make sure gym/racquetball facilities are clean
- Wash gym towels
- Ensure that VIP room is clean at times
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to tenants, guests, and co-workers.
- Receptionists may simultaneously deal with frustrated customers, multiple phone calls, and interruptions. An effective receptionist can manage stressful situations and remain calm under pressure.
- A reliable receptionist arrives punctually at work each day. They answer phone calls swiftly and make sure the front desk is never unmonitored. These individuals take responsibility for their work, and their colleagues can depend on them.
- To listen actively, give the speaker your full attention and listen carefully to what they say. Allow them to finish speaking before you respond. Ask questions if necessary and repeat what the speaker said to confirm you’re understanding.
- Cultivate a professional image by being courteous with everyone. Maintaining a positive work ethic. Dress in a professional manner, maintain personal hygiene and make sure clothing is clean, neat, and undamaged.

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Receptionist work in an area that is visible and accessible to the public and other employees, front desk in lobby.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The physical demands include, but are not limited to, standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, handling, kneeling, crouching, and bending. Maybe required to assist in moving tables and chairs. Maximum weight 25 lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work (Part-Time)
Lobby is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday through Saturday. 10:00 am to 5 pm Sunday. Your scheduled hours will be assigned by your supervisor. Days off may vary. You may be called on/scheduled to assist with after-hours events in our event center.
