Receiving and Shipping Associate

Position Summary

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for coordinating and executing all inbound and outbound material movements. This role ensures accurate receipt, verification, storage, and shipment of goods while maintaining inventory integrity and supporting overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.

- Accurately enter receipt and shipment data into the inventory system.

- Prepare, package, and label outgoing orders to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.

- Generate shipping documentation, including packing lists and bills of lading.

- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other material handling equipment.

- Conduct cycle counts and maintain organized inventory storage.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

- Collaborate with Production and Purchasing to support operational needs.

Additional requirements include the ability to:

- Lift 100 lbs., push/ pull 200 lbs. and have sufficient vision so as not to be a detriment to oneself or any other employees or property.

- Be physically able to bend, walk, sit, stand, stoop, and climb for the entirety of the assigned shift.

- Demonstrate the ability to read, write and otherwise communicate in an efficient manner.

- Operate cranes, forklifts, hoists and any other material handling device safely and efficiently.

- Desires training in all areas that allow the associate to advance his knowledge and work-related skills.

- Able to work as a contributing member of a production team.

- Conducive to lean manufacturing and team oriented work practices.

- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

- Must exhibit good math skills and have a working knowledge of personal computers
