The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control within the manufacturing process. This role ensures that products meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance before reaching customers. The QC Manager will lead a team of inspectors and technicians, develop quality control procedures, and collaborate with production teams to maintain compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
- Develop and Implement Quality Standards:
- Establish and maintain quality control policies, procedures, and standards for manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant industry certifications.
- Inspection and Testing:
- Supervise and coordinate product inspections and testing at various stages of production.
- Analyze test results and recommend corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to reduce defects and waste.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, audits, and compliance reports.
- Prepare and present quality performance metrics to senior management.
- Team Leadership:
- Train, mentor, and manage quality control staff to ensure adherence to standards.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness across all departments.
- Supplier Quality Management:
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure supplier compliance with quality requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits and manage non-conformance issues.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.
