Plans, coordinates, and directs quality program designed to ensure continuous quality control and quality assurance of the production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.
Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals. Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with Plant Managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Interprets quality Policy to key personnel in organization.
Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products.
Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality. Prepares reports on non-conforming product and makes recommendations.
Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
Makes recommendations whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor.
Reviews data obtained during quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.
Coordinates ISO Audits and certification. Develops Management Review.
Plays active role on quality management teams within organization.
Plans, designs, promotes, organizes, implements, and leads quality training programs.

Obtains feedback from customers to measure customer satisfaction.
Prepares and presents technical and program information to management.
Directly supervises 0-5 employees in the Quality Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Job Boss manufacturing software (which includes Accounting, Inventory, Order Processing software); Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one or in a group and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
