What You’ve Accomplished

- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field or comparable experience in lieu of degree.

- At least 2 years of directly related experience in proposal development, estimating, engineering, or business development.

- Business and/or technical expertise in a related technical or professional capacity.

- Good communication skills to work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers.

- Knowledge of the sales process and associated tools (i.e., SPEAK).

- Prioritizes tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Proposal Manager in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Sales & Marketing Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include:

- Overseeing the proposal processes and perform ad hoc tasks such as scanning, filing, shipping, and other administrative duties.

- Developing and maintain proposal schedules, outlines, compliance matrices, and review drafts.

- Organizing and facilitating proposal kickoff calls, meetings, review sessions, etc.

- Supporting the development of pricing and cost volumes in coordination with the team.

- Basic knowledge of financial terms, experience in proposal financials and/or accounting is helpful.

- Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including sales, technical, legal, and finance to ensure all aspects of a proposal are addressed.

- Maintaining proposal content, templates, and the internal proposal resource library.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $75,000 - $97,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
