The Production Scheduler is responsible for executing the day-to-day production schedule by translating demand signals and planning direction into released jobs, accurate system data, and clear coordination with manufacturing.
This role focuses on schedule execution, ERP accuracy, and administrative control of production data.
This position works under the guidance of planning leadership and supports smooth manufacturing flow through disciplined system management and cross-functional communication.
- Release production jobs in accordance with established scheduling rules, priorities, and planning direction
- Maintain accurate job dates, order statuses, and scheduling data within the ERP system
- Monitor upcoming shortages, constraints, or schedule risks and escalate issues to management
- Coordinate with manufacturing, materials, and purchasing to ensure jobs are properly aligned with material availability
- Support management of product obsolescence and lifecycle transitions within the system
- Ensure BOM and routing structures are correctly reflected for released production orders
- Track and communicate schedule adherence and job status updates to relevant teams
- Assist in maintaining ERP data integrity related to production control
- Support reporting and data preparation related to scheduling performance and production execution
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems (production orders, scheduling, item data).
- Prior experience in a production scheduling or manufacturing coordination role preferred.
- Experience maintaining item or planning data in an ERP system.
- Exposure to BOMs, routings, or shop order processing preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to follow structured processes and scheduling rules.
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
- Process-driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities within established guidelines.
- Good communication skills for coordination with production, materials, and supply chain teams.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and system-generated reports.

- Frequent interaction with production, materials, and planning teams.
- Primarily system-based work with coordination across departments.
