The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire production process to ensure efficient, high-quality output that meets company standards and customer expectations. - Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred or 10 years of direct Chemical Manufacturing experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing management role.
- Proven experience managing teams and production operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or MBA.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP
- Background in continuous improvement and change management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making.
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Manage and mentor production team members, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and development.
- Implement and monitor production schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, improve processes, and enhance product quality.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the production area.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support continuous production flow.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma projects to increase efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, challenges, and improvement plans to senior management.
