Production Manager

Iron Embers is a leading manufacturer of premium outdoor firepits, and we're looking for someone to take our production team to the next level. We need so someone willing to be the engine driving the team forward towards success. Someone who really gets the vision of what we're doing, creating firepits worth bragging about, while building a team worth bragging about. And while our brand 'voice' may be a bit over the top sometimes, we have found that individuals sporting a large ego simply don't fit in. If that sounds like you, then this might be a great opportunity. Just a heads up though, we take this stuff pretty seriously. You would be responsible for managing the fabrication and shipping departments, a growing team of 12.

Responsibilities:

- Building and maintaining a healthy team where people contribute at a high level and feel valued.

- Be involved in hiring, coaching, training, and terminating if necessary.

- Maintaining a clean, organized, and high-flow shop within 5S principles. Admittedly, there's some low hanging fruit here.

- Hold a high standard of quality and throughput.

- We're pretty confident we sell the best firepits on the market, we need to keep it that way and keep the customers happy

- Develop a deep understanding of our product lines and manufacturing methods, including welding, grinding, and shipping

- Become the systems expert, championing our ERP system (Odoo)

Required Experience

- Hands-on Welding and grinding experience

- Leadership experience

- ERP systems experience

Useful Skills

- MIG Welding

- Equipment maintenance

- Mechanical aptitude

- Packaging/shipping

- Forklift

- Scheduling Work

- Hiring, onboarding, coaching team members

- 5S or equivalent

- Inventory management

- ERP usage (processing manufacturing orders etc)

- Understanding of BOMS, routings, mechanical drawings

Compensation includes competitive pay for experience, benefits, and profit sharing.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
