The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and technical aptitude — someone who can read and interpret blueprints, oversee multiple production lines, troubleshoot machines on the spot, and reimagine plant and yard layouts for improved workflow and productivity.
- Plan and schedule production runs across multiple lines to maximize efficiency and meet delivery timelines.
- Analyze production capacity and balance workloads across machines and teams.
- Use technical knowledge to sequence jobs for optimal material flow and minimal downtime.
- Oversee logistics operations including inbound materials, finished goods staging, and outbound shipments.
- Reimagine and redesign plant and yard layouts to improve space utilization, safety, and product flow.
- Work closely with dispatch and warehouse teams to streamline truck loading/unloading processes.
- Establish and monitor quality standards to ensure products meet specifications.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions based on nonconformance reports or customer feedback.
- Use data-driven approaches (KPIs, efficiency metrics, defect rates) to improve overall plant performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and material cut sheets.
- Coordinate with engineering and production leads to ensure designs are correctly translated into manufacturing.
- Provide input on equipment upgrades, tooling requirements, and process improvements.
- Work alongside the current Production Manager to align operational and technical priorities.
- Mentor supervisors and production leads on scheduling, quality, and process adherence.
- Support safety, training, and continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field (preferred).
- Strong ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proven experience managing production schedules and logistics operations.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and plant layout design.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
