Crow Precision Components, LLC (Crow) is a forge manufacturing company based in Fort Worth, Texas. Crow is a division of WHI Global, LLC, (www.whiglobal.com). Crow’s 98,000 square foot manufacturing facility operates 2 shifts; and its capacity includes 6 hammers, 12 hydraulic presses, and a screw press. Crow is NADCAP certified to perform Heat Treat and Non-Destructive Testing. Crow is ISO 9001 and AS 9100D certified.
This position is responsible for managing and overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in the production process by creating production schedules, managing staff, maintaining equipment, and implementing continuous improvement strategies. Key responsibilities include production planning, cost control, staff supervision, and overseeing raw material procurement. Essential skills include leadership, communication, problem-solving, and understanding of forging and related manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly and yearly production planning.
- Consistently reviews of orders in ERP system and backlog to meet deadlines and demand.
- Launch jobs into production, monitor and maintain job status.
- Hire, train, and manage the production team, assigning tasks and ensuring performance and safety standards are met.
- Monitor production performance of Forge, Grinding, Machine Shop, Saw Shop and Heat Treat Department.
- Ensure production targets are met in terms of quality, quantity and deadlines.
- Collaborate with engineering to ensure appropriate scheduling of die tooling and die refurbishment.
- Monitor machinery and schedule routine maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure efficient operation.
- Ensure compliance and enforce all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the production floor.
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting.
- Monitor production costs, manage budgets, and identify opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Manage raw material procurement to ensure appropriate raw material purchases and manage inventory levels.
- Communicate updated production schedule via daily meetings, emails and reports.
- Track progress, prepare reports, and communicate with management.
High school diploma or GED certificate is required.
- A college degree or trade certifications are desired but not required.
Solid experience with Microsoft applications, and large MRP / ERP experience.
1 – 3 years of experience in production management and manufacturing operations is required.
- Forging and forging tooling & design is desired but not required.
- Experience in the aerospace industry is strongly preferred but not required.
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
- Understanding of health & safety regulations.
- Project management skills and the ability to work efficiently.
