From the office to the field, our team of talented professionals work hard each day to safely execute our business and create positive and lasting impacts for our stakeholders.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Production Chemicals Coordinator to join our Asset Integrity team. The successful candidate will work closely with Field Operations to support ARC’s application, management, and optimization of chemicals used in oil and gas. The ideal candidate brings strong technical capability, sound judgment, and excellent problem solving skills, coupled with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in the field.

This role is responsible for guiding the selection, application, and performance evaluation of specialty chemicals used to optimize production, maintain fluid integrity, and mitigate operational risks such as corrosion, scaling, paraffin deposition, and emulsion challenges. The role encompasses technical analysis, research and development, chemical program optimization, vendor management, and hands‑on field support to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

- Apply specialized expertise in flow assurance by overseeing the selection, application, and performance of corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, demulsifiers, biocides, scavengers, and paraffin inhibitors to support safe and reliable operations

- Provide operational support by identifying, predicting, and mitigating production and injection‑related risks, ensuring chemical programs effectively address integrity threats and maintain optimal system performance

- Conduct technical troubleshooting by delivering field support, overseeing laboratory testing, and interpreting analytical results to develop data‑driven recommendations that enhance production efficiency and resolve complex chemical challenges

- Optimize chemical treatments by tailoring programs to unique well and facility conditions, ensuring maximum return on investment through continuous monitoring, performance evaluation, and adjustment of treatment strategies

- Collaborate closely with chemical suppliers through direct engagement in product selection, field application oversight, program validation, and ongoing monitoring to ensure safe, effective, and compliant chemical usage across operations

- Follow all safety procedures and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safe operation during field activities

- Travel to ARC field locations across Alberta and British Columbia as required

What Will You Bring To Arc

- A minimum of 5 years of directly related oil and gas experience, with strong working knowledge of production chemical programs and field‑based chemical treatment activities

- A technical diploma in Chemical Engineering Technology, Chemical Technology, or related field is preferred

- Robust operational background, including hands‑on experience with chemical applications in the field

- A strong understanding of fluid dynamics, flow paths, and production system behavior

- Demonstrated technical expertise in managing and optimizing chemical treatments such as corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, demulsifiers, biocides, paraffin inhibitors, and scavengers in a variety of operating conditions

- Advanced analytical capability, including experience interpreting laboratory data (e.g., XRD/EDX, ICP, GC, Cold Finger testing) to diagnose field issues and guide treatment strategies

- Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production challenges such as flow assurance issues, emulsions, foaming, and equipment fouling

- Proficiency in documentation and compliance, including developing technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and supporting Management of Change (MOC) processes to ensure safe and consistent execution

- Data analysis and visualization skills, with experience assessing large datasets and leveraging tools such as Excel and Power BI to identify trends, optimize treatment programs, and support operational decision‑making

- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work closely with Field Operations, technical specialists, and external chemical suppliers to support safe, aligned, and efficient execution

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel as required

- Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to all PPE and safety protocols

Rewarding Opportunity

- An opportunity to be part of delivering responsible energy by developing and growing your career with us

- Working collaboratively with, and learning from some of the most talented and experienced people in our industry

- A market-competitive and pay-for-performance total compensation plan, including eligibility to participate in our bonus and long-term incentive programs

- Top-tier benefits, wellness/healthcare spending accounts and savings plans

- A culture of caring and high performance

- Focus on health and well-being

- An environment where all individuals are treated fairly and respectfully, have equal access to opportunities and resources, feel a sense of belonging, and can contribute fully to the organization’s success

- Meaningful work that makes a difference in the Canadian energy industry
