The Production Coordinator will support steel slitting operations by coordinating production schedules, work orders, and customer demand across multiple processes.

The Production Coordinator will be responsible for order flow, communication with inside sales, production coordination, and maintaining accurate production records while supporting quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Coordinator will collaborate with production leadership to achieve performance targets, proactively resolve scheduling and delivery issues, and ensure established processes, policies, and procedures are effectively followed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Act as the primary point of contact for new order receipt and production scheduling for multiple processes.

· Communicate fully with inside sales for all open customer orders

· Coordinate with sales to accurately allocate production time based on account needs

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including sales, production and logistics) to ensure efficient/timely scheduling and completion of orders

· Utilize ERP systems and other tools to track shipments, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory and production records

· Communicate proactively with inside sales to ensure customers are informed and receiving exceptional customer service

· Determine course of action and decisions on delivery timelines for our customers

· Work closely with production to manage lead times, resolve issues and improve overall supplier performance

· Review customer orders and generate production work orders for the slitting process.

· Coordinate, directly with production managers, so that all slitting work orders are generated as needed for efficient production scheduling.

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Preferred bachelor’s degree in business or related field

- 2 – 3 years sales or business operations experience

- Excellent verbal and written communication

- High level problem-solving and analytical skills

- Customer focused mindset

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams

Organizational Relationship:

This individual reports to the Vice President and works closely with a variety of departments throughout the company.

Travel & Location Requirements:

This position has minimal travel and is based in Sparrows Point, MD.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per hour
