About This Job

We are seeking a Production Control Coordinator to provide support to the Production Control Manager and to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments in accordance with the production schedule. The ideal candidate will review master production schedules and work orders, establish priorities for specific customer orders, and revise schedules based on work order specifications, established priorities, and the availability or capability of workers, parts, materials, machines, and equipment. Responsibilities include distributing production work and shipment schedules, conferring with department supervisors to determine the progress of work and completion dates, and compiling reports on work progress, inventory levels, and production issues.

- Communicate verbally and in written text with Managers, Supervisors, and Employees

- Complete all qualifications training, testing, and requirements

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

- Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.

- Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or materials requirements or material priorities.

- Will provide back up to Load Planner as needed, may include occasional weekends.

- Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.

- Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.

- Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production or engineering.

Knowledge/ Competencies:

- Production and Processing- knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.

- Administration and Management- knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Individual must exhibit professionalism, dependability, drive to succeed and be able to learn and apply new tasks, procedures, training and education as received.

- Computer Skills- Knowledge and use of database software, Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and Electronic Email (Microsoft Outlook).

- Decision making skills- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution.

- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems- such as word processing and managing files and records.

- Processing information- compiling categorizing, calculating tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data. Attention to detail and accuracy

- Documenting/ Recording Information- Entering, transcribing, recording, storing or maintaining information in written or electronic form.

- Problem Solving- the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully.

- Interpersonal Skills- the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others ideas and exhibits and willingness to try new things. Must have ability to work as part of a team.

- Oral Communication- the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.

- Written Communication- the individual edits work for spelling, grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.

- Planning/ organizing- the individual prioritizes, plans, and monitors work activities including the work of others in order to successfully complete meet work requirements. Individual uses time efficiently and develop realistic action plans. Individual must have strong organizational skills and time management skills. Individual must have a complete understanding of operation and productivity expectations.

- Quality Control- the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.

- Adaptability- the individual adapts to changes in the work environment manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
