PROCESS COMMISSIONING TECHNICIAN

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Process Technician to support the safe and efficient commissioning and start-up of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility located on the U.S. Gulf Coast. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that process systems are tested, verified, and fully operational prior to handover to operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in LNG or cryogenic systems and be comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

KEY REPORTING Relationships

· Reports to the Senior Process tech for planning and execution management support.

· Communicates with the Commissioning Process Senior tech for technical support.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Start-up and commissioning support (leak checks, O2 free, purging, specialty cleaning and flushing, Pump run-ins, IST checks, inventory chemicals, lubricants, seal & barrier fluids, compressor testing, refractory dry outs, BMS testing, flare lighting, pacifications, EHT testing, warmups, level equipment testing, baselines, control valve stroking, removal of temp strainers and witches’ hats, etc.)

· Ability to restart equipment

· Ability to work with pressurized and hazardous products.

· Working knowledge of Instrument and Control systems i.e., DCS/PLC

· Ability to read and follow P&ID’s, isometrics, and schematic drawings.

· Piping knowledge is a strong asset.

· Monitor equipment during start up and fill out required documentation.

· Able to work independently without supervision.

· Able to create a clear, concise punch deficiency list.

· Equipment walkdowns and detailed inspections

· Participate in all aspects of the safety program (e.g., safety meetings, ILP investigations, site inspections, audits, toolbox talks, etc.)

· Work within the PTW system, and issue permits as required.

· Support witnessing of ITP hold points.

· Support walk downs and punch verification

· Undertake PSSR field checks as required.

· Assist in field verification of all commissioning procedures and checklists.

· Field verifying all commissioning procedures and checklists.

· Installation/demobilization of temporary equipment and fittings

· Operates running equipment.

· Checks that areas under operations are controlled properly (signage, cleanliness, access)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· Journeyman ticket, technical diploma in required discipline.

· Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in similar commissioning roles in both Brownfield and/or Greenfield projects.

· Strong Interpersonal skills

· Strong working knowledge of OH&S Regulations

· Experience leading small teams would be considered an asset.
