Project Delivery, Operations & Maintenance, and Customer Success have collaborated to address a critical need across all of our teams > > > A dedicated commissioning team. Focused on increasing the speed in which we are able to get LGens from PTO (Permission To Operate from the Electric Utility to COD (Commercial Operation Date, when EAF and the performance guarantees start). Also focusing on collaboration with CLS to improve Factory Acceptance Test processes and ensure factory to field changes are minimized. Finally, focused on tool and process development to improve efficiency and robustness of the commissioning phase.
We are seeking motivated and skilled individuals to transfer into the Commissioning Team. This role allows you to build on your existing expertise and experience with mechanical, fuel, and electrical systems and enable Mainspring to deploy larger projects with new functionality into the world. You'll play a key role in commissioning new Linear Generators and mentoring new hires as part of a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to advance their careers into leadership positions or expand into the specialized field of control commissioning.
This position is a dedicated transfer to the Project Delivery Commissioning Team. The expectation after completing the transition process will be that commissioning activities will be a primary focus, but during any gaps or downtime between projects you can support the existing FST department.
The Commissioning Technician role is focused on initial energization of LGen’s, identifying retrofits and required engineering changes for the fleet. Proactively inspecting and repairing, servicing and preparing units for initial operations. Planning and preparing tooling and setting up parts warehouses for upcoming projects. Collaboration on geographic hires and training as we bring online large projects in new territories, as well as working with existing FOA/FST teams for surge planning as well as third party training opportunities.
