· The basic function of the Maintenance Technician is to maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems.
· Be neat and clean at all times
· Attend training classes to maintain expertise in the field
· Adhere to proper paperwork procedures (model and serial numbers, time keeping, tool stock)
· Keep Dispatcher informed on job status throughout the day
· Follow through on problems that may arise on job site
· Collect payment for services rendered where required
· Stay in the know about current sales and promotions
· Communicate with customers when on the way and during visit
· Communicate with office staff and turn in all completed and accurate paperwork
· Keep a clean, organized and stocked work truck
· Other tasks as requested by the Manager
· Ability to represent Rogers Heating & Cooling in a professional manner with customers, vendors, staff and the general public
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
· Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time
· Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
· Good communicator—works well with different personality types
· This position works in the field. Is exposed to driving hazards. Adherence to Safety Policy and Driving Safety Policy is vital.
· The physical demands for this position are heavy. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
· Self-motivated and able to handle rapidly changing priorities and several tasks simultaneously
· Must be able to respond to difficult situations with customers and co-workers with high level of professionalism
· Must be able to communicate effectively with vendors and co-workers
· Must be able to follow safety guidelines at all times
· Communicates and interacts with employees on all levels in the office
· Sets an example for employees in the entire company
· This position will have high level of contact with customers and vendors; and will be required to maintain professional communication and appearance at all times during work hours.
