Overview
We are seeking a skilled Powder Coat Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience with industrial painting processes. The Powder Coat Painter plays a vital part in maintaining our production standards and supporting efficient manufacturing operations.
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as needed using hand tools and power tools
- Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths and airless paint sprayers, to apply even coats of powder finish
- Manage materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading parts with forklifts or cranes when necessary
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments to ensure coating quality and adherence to specifications
- Maintain equipment by performing routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Assist with fabrication or assembly tasks when required, utilizing welding, machining, or auto body repair skills
- Follow safety protocols related to industrial painting and materials handling to maintain a safe work environment
- Proficiency with airless paint spraying and industrial painting techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and processes
- Experience with forklift operation, crane handling, and materials movement within a warehouse or fabrication setting
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments accurately
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, auto body repair, welding, and auto painting is a plus
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and warehouse experience enhances workflow efficiency
- Basic math skills for measurements and process calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards in finishing processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and precision standards
