Kindle Energy is seeking an experienced Plant Manager
to lead the
Magnolia Power Generating Station, a state-of-the-art 694 MW GE 7HA.03 combined-cycle facility developed and managed by Kindle Energy.

The Magnolia Power Generating Station is a single-shaft, combined-cycle facility located south of Baton Rouge in Plaquemine, Louisiana. As a cornerstone asset in Blackstone’s energy transition portfolio, Magnolia operates to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and reliability.
The Plant Manager has full responsibility for plant operations and maintenance, including P&L accountability, workforce leadership, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. This role requires a visible, hands-on leader who sets the tone for a strong safety culture, ensures flawless environmental and regulatory performance, and develops a highly competent, accountable organization.
Safety, Compliance, and Risk Management (Primary Focus)
- Champion a culture where safety and environmental compliance are non-negotiable and always take precedence over production
- Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, safety, and operational regulations
- Serve as the primary interface with regulatory agencies, inspectors, and external stakeholders
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve safety, environmental, and compliance programs
- Ensure a safe, environmentally compliant workplace at all times
- Build, lead, and retain a highly skilled, well-trained, and engaged plant workforce
- Set clear performance expectations and hold leaders and staff accountable
- Provide regular coaching and feedback to develop technical, leadership, and business capabilities
- Foster a culture of teamwork, transparency, continuous improvement, and responsible decision-making
- Maintain reliable, disciplined plant operations consistent with Kindle’s operating philosophy
- Manage plant budgets, forecasts, and cost controls with strong financial discipline
- Balance operational performance with long-term asset integrity and risk mitigation
- Oversee work performed by contractors and external service providers
- Execute Kindle’s gas plant strategy in alignment with sponsor expectations and market conditions
- Provide clear, timely communication to Kindle leadership and asset owners
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, community leaders, and local stakeholders
- Represent the plant professionally with political, civic, and public representatives- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience, or 14+ years of equivalent technical experience
- Proven track record leading operations and maintenance teams in a power generation or heavy industrial environment
- Strong working knowledge of safety management systems, environmental compliance, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience with budget management, cost control, and P&L responsibility
- Solid understanding of human resources, labor relations, and employee development
