Job Title: Plant Maintenance Assistant

Starting Pay: $20-23 (depending on experience) per hour

Reports to: Site supervisor

Position Summary:

The Plant Maintenance Assistant position is an entry level position at our sites. It is an important position at the plant in order to maintain overall standards. This position allows someone to learn about our operations. It is also a good position for someone who would like to learn the business and grow with the company. This position is good for someone who likes to work with other people, be a part of a team, and perform different tasks throughout the day. This role works outdoors, in all conditions, and is a physically intensive job.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Must be eighteen years of age or older

- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

- Must have a track-record of being a dependable employee

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the production team to maintain a safe and clean workspace.

· Perform industrial clean-up tasks, including debris removal and equipment cleaning.

· Conduct daily safety inspections to ensure compliance with standards and contribute to a safety-first culture.

· Operate small equipment such as skid steers, manlifts, forklifts, and backhoes (training provided).

· Assist with basic maintenance tasks when necessary.

· Support set-up and upkeep of plant equipment to optimize production capabilities.

· Welding experience or mechanical aptitude is a plus but not required.

· Versatile and adaptable to adjust to the needs of the business

· Openness to learn how to operate various types of mobile equipment

· Problem solving and trouble shooting skills

Essential Functions, Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

· Pre-employment drug screening

· Able to work outdoors in most weather conditions

· Able to work in a physically rigorous work environment. Position may involve walking, standing, sitting, bending, and climbing stairs. Job may require crouching, stooping, or crawling.

· Stand for extended periods

· Able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

· Able to swing 16-pound hammer

· Able to use impact wrench

· Able to pull chain/cable hoist

· Able to climb steps/ladders

· Able to work in small/high spaces
