ASSISTANT PLANT MANAGER

Job Summary

We are seeking a experienced Assistant Plant Manager to join our manufacturing team! In this vital role, you will support the overall operations of the plant, ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This person must be a self starter, someone who can take initiative to see that projects are planned, scheduled, and completed according to time frames and budget considerations. The ability to communicate, show respect, and learn from experienced employees is a must.

Duties

- Assist in managing daily plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet output targets.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards across all manufacturing activities.

- Lead efforts in continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data and identifying areas to improve efficiency.

- Support plant management in maintaining mechanical systems, equipment maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

Requirements

- Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a foundry or similar setting.

- Well rounded knowledge of production planning, quality control, safety compliance, and maintenance skills.

- Solid understanding of supply chain , operations management, and manufacturing best practices.

- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.

- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

- Ability to communicate one-on-one with employees effectively and respectfully.
