Assistant Plant Manager

Duties

- Assist the Plant Manager in overseeing all plant operations, including production, quality, safety, and maintenance.

- Coordinate production planning and scheduling using ERP systems such as SAP and MRP to meet delivery deadlines.

- Implement lean manufacturing principles and process improvements to optimize workflow and reduce waste.

- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.

- Analyze supply chain data and logistics to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.

- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on process enhancement, operational efficiency, and cost reduction.

- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure materials availability.

- Support team development through training initiatives and performance management.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain management.

Skills

- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.

- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Lean manufacturing methodologies, and supply chain analytics.

- Familiarity with MRP systems, process improvement techniques, and operations management best practices.

- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment and assembly processes.

- Ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools like 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality control and process optimization.

- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 60.0 per week
