Coordinates and conducts technical planning of the instrument and electrical maintenance activities for the Freeport LNG facilities and Pipeline. Provide Planning services for all maintenance activities associated with scheduled and unscheduled shut down work, Preventive Maintenance, equipment repairs and projects. Assists with day-to-day planning of emergency repairs where required. Ensures facility controls automation and machinery function safely, efficiently, reliably and within budgetary limits, utilizing allocated resources, with the objective of meeting business goals for production while minimizing unscheduled equipment down time.
- Plan jobs using SAP to include Labor, Tools, Equipment, Materials, Drawings, Procedures, Maintenance Resources and Contract Services required to complete work orders.
- Conducts field visits for accurate planning and completeness of job plans.
- Identifies activities to execute job plans safely and efficiently using coordination with Safety Department when required.
- Create Purchase Requisitions for Contract Services using the Approved Vendor List and confirming insurance compliancy
- Completes assigned Service Entry Sheets (SES) in a timely manner for accounting close-out.
- Coordinates with the Operations Planner to assist with building the Maintenance Schedule in Viziya Scheduler and updating daily jobs assigned to follow.
- Responsible for reviewing work order backlog until jobs are moved to scheduled.
- Uses Planner Feedback Forms from Maintenance Technicians to optimize and archive job plans for future use.
- When possible, uses archived plans for basis of planning.
- Accountable for cost when developing plans and requesting materials/services in accordance with the Maintenance Budget
- Works with Material Coordinator to assure all repair parts are ordered and received as needed.
- Assist with determination of warehouse stock requirements and recommended inventory levels, including identifying critical spares.
- Provide information and assistance to engineering/project group for maintenance systems including testing and modifications as needed.
- Accountable for assisting and participating in the development of annual maintenance budgets.
- Provides technical advice/support to Maintenance, Operations and Engineering Teams as requested.
- Accountable for collection and filing of maintenance record/reports for Regulatory Compliance.
- Analyzes any performance deficiencies and makes recommendations for correction
- Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary by the O&M Coordinator or Maintenance Superintendent
- Provide clear job scopes in packages for contractor services associated with planned orders that fall under planner responsibility
- Works closely with the maintenance superintendent, all craft supervisors and operations staff to support effective planning for shutdowns and special projects
- Will be required to fill in for Mechanical Planner when the need arises
- Basic knowledge of SAP with the ability to enter purchase requisitions, navigate all aspects of the planning environment in SAP as well as approve final invoices.
- Ability to coordinate and supervise contractors performing duties for specific planned tasks.
- Ability to operate company owned vehicles and equipment
- Ability to interface with multiple departments within the organization and outside vendors with clear communications.
- Capable of providing a clear and detailed scope of work and submit RFQ packages to procurement/vendors
- Basic knowledge of the Management of Change process to document and implement plant modifications and or changes.
- Provide off-hour support for maintenance issues and material or service requests
- Provide support to Material Coordinator as necessary to ensure accurate materials are ordered.
- Basic knowledge of scheduling tools with the ability to use Viziya scheduler tool.
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Experience Required: 5-10 years of I&E maintenance experience in chemical plant or refinery environment or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Associates/Tech. Degree
Preferred Experience: 5-10 years I&E Planning experience in chemical plant or refinery environment or equivalent.
- Must possess Strong PC skills to perform proper documentation and reporting and should be familiar with and able to use and be competent in using MS Word, Excel, Visio, and Project. Experience with SAP highly desired
- Experience in plant shutdown/turnaround activities including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, material reservations, etc.
