The Payroll Analyst plays a key role in executing routine payroll processes for all NTEC operations. This corporate role supports the Payroll Supervisor to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll functions across multiple sites and states.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard all payroll-related information.
- Review and validate timecard data in UKG (Kronos) to ensure accuracy before payroll close.
- Participate in bi-weekly payroll processing and support special payment runs across multiple locations and states.
- Process and verify all pre‑payroll entries, including W‑4s, direct deposits, personnel updates, benefits and deductions, etc.
- Accurately complete third‑party payments, child support, and garnishment processing.
- Reconcile Form 941 to W‑2 totals for each payroll cycle.
- Prepare and schedule federal and state payroll tax payments.
- Assist in maintenance and creation of documentation for payroll and non‑routine procedures.
- Participate in year‑end activities such as W‑2 preparation and BSO filings.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure payroll account accuracy.
- Assist with month‑end closing responsibilities, including reporting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Complete daily labor reconciliations and postings for hourly employees.
- Perform bi‑weekly and monthly labor postings for salaried and salaried non‑exempt employees.
- Provide responsive and accurate support for payroll-related inquiries.
- Work collaboratively with teams across multiple locations.
- May include travel to various operations as needed.
- Engage in cross‑training opportunities across departments as appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent combination of education and Payroll experience (minimum of 3 years) required.
- Professional payroll certifications (FPC or CPP) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Experience with labor union laws and collective bargaining agreements preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting and auditing, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with internal control systems.
- Positive, proactive attitude with strong ownership of responsibilities.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to conduct research, analyze data, and develop action plans.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to frequently sit with frequent forward bending and occasional rotation. The employee must rarely lift, carry and/or move up to 13 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is required to rarely push or pull up to 45 pounds horizontally. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required occasionally to walk; climb stairs; and stand with rare rotation. Rarely the employee is required to squat repetitively or reach up to 74”. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment:
Works in office environment and rarely site environment. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
