Metal Polisher/Finisher

Badgerland Industries is a metal manufacturer that manufactures stainless steel, steel, and aluminum parts. We take a drawing of a part and bring it to life through laser cutting, forming on a brake press, welding parts and pieces, assembly and powder coating.

We are looking for someone who has a strong attention to detail and patience. Our finishers and polishers are responsible for the last steps in the manufacturing process. Specifically this area is focused on finishing stainless steel tables by smoothing and blending welds so they appear to be non-existent.

This position is an 8 hour shift from 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Walk/stand 8 hours per day

- Ability to lift 50 lbs.

- Ability to use basic hand tools and pneumatic tools

- Minimum 1 year of consistent/steady work history

- Regular attendance is required

- Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks

- Read and interpret job routings and paperwork

- Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe work environment

- Assist co-workers with lifting parts

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Basic Qualifications

- High School Diploma/GED

- 1 year of experience working in manufacturing

- Experience working with basic hand tools and pneumatic tools

Key abilities needed to complete essential duties

- Perform assigned tasks

- Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills

- Recognize and react to abnormal operating conditions

- Use and wear appropriate PPE

- Perform basic counting tasks

- Read tape measure, work orders and blueprints effectively

- Follow instructions from Supervisor and co-workers

- Individually lift and manipulate parts weighting up to 50 lbs.

- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
