1Inspects, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical systems, including fixed and rotating equipment, engines, pumps, generators, compressors, piping, valves, vessels. Identifies and implements reliability, integrity, economic, carbon reduction, and safety improvements for above systems.

Performs routine tasks independently. General supervision of non-routine work. Has basic knowledge of Chevron policies and practices

Chevron is accepting online applications for the Mechanic position located in Midland, TX through December 26th, at 11:59 p.m. (CT).

Required Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Valid Driver’s License

- Ability and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as workload demands

- Demonstrated commitment to Chevron Way Values

- Strong verbal and written communication

- Able to work with limited supervision

- 4/10 schedule based in Midland, TX

Preferred Qualifications:

- 2 years current industrial mechanical experience, with emphasis on reciprocating engines, compressors, centrifugal compressors, turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, and generators

- Familiarity with reliability efforts for a variety of safety, environmental and production related issues

- Ability to perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of major oil and gas production and facility process systems

- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), CMMS, and an aptitude for learning new software applications.

- Ability to perform multiple tasks with limited supervision.

- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with in a diverse team

- Must be able to read and interpret manuals and other technical materials

Assessment

Once complete, your assessment score will be valid for 180 days. Should you re-apply for another Job Requisition within this timeframe that includes the Maintenance Assessment, you will be required to complete the application process and then click on the assessment link. This will resubmit your previous results.
