Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment across our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical operations, the ability to diagnose issues that may affect multiple systems, and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical issues across interconnected systems such as transmission, brakes, fuel, and control systems.

- Conduct inspections and functionality tests to ensure proper operation and safety.

- Repair or replace defective components using appropriate tools and methods.

- Accurately document all maintenance work, parts used, and issues identified.

- Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.

- Follow all safety procedures and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

- Assist with light facility maintenance including roadwork, trenching, general building repairs, and other maintenance tasks as needed.

- Provide support and guidance to junior technicians when required.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or trade certification preferred.

- Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar maintenance role.

- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and how different systems interact.

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

- Proficient with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance best practices.

- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and time management.

- Good communication and teamwork abilities.

- Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently; up to 75 lbs with assistance.

- Stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for 8–12 hour shifts.

- Regular bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching overhead, and working in confined spaces.

- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for working with small parts and tools.

- Capable of pushing/pulling carts, and climbing ladders or accessing platforms when needed.

- Must work in environments with noise, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures.

- Required to wear PPE including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and a hard hat.

- Must maintain stamina and focus to safely complete all tasks during a full shift.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
