Manufacturing Technician Core Break Repair 1st Shift (P)

A Snapshot of Your Day

Will be performing core break repair on castings identifying and determining location of core break. Operators use hand tools and grinding devices to make acceptable repairs in accordance with quality policy. This will be in the Gibsonton Florida Location

How You’ll Make an Impact

- Sets up, operates and troubleshooting core break repair procedures on castings.

- Ensure the correct work order is pulled up on production system screen while performing the repair operation.

- Processes the casting through mercury verifying serial number to ensure that the correct part is being handled.

- Adjust machines, set controls, and perform troubleshooting as required by quality criteria.

- Performs basic or specifically defined maintenance operations; cooperates with maintenance technicians and/or external service providers in repair issues.

- Cross training and other duties may be assigned as needed.

What You Bring

- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED is required.

- One or more years of experience using hand tools.

- Experience with Inspection Equipment (calipers, pin gauges, etc.) using metric system and able to perform math functions.

- Ability to read Engineering instructions and demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

- This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
