Steele Solutions, Inc. is the nation's leading designer and manufacturer of steel work platforms and mezzanines. We are growing and seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our 3rd shift operations in Waupaca, WI. location!
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, and in addition to the regular duties of general labor/paint, the Paint Line Lead is responsible for overseeing the Paint line employees, ensuring that goals and objectives are met while meeting all quality and safety standards.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Completes required preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other equipment
- Troubleshoots and repairs all manufacturing equipment (Drilling machines, paint line, presses, forklifts etc.)
- Performs routine electrical and mechanical maintenance on equipment
- Performs general maintenance and repairs of facility and grounds (including basic carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, groundskeeping etc.)
- Inspects all building locations, and schedules repairs
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level
- Uses tape measure, caliper, micrometer and other measuring tools to perform tasks accordingly
- Supports operations as needed

- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of Maintenance Technician experience required, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience with building maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, painting, groundskeeping)
- Experience providing routine preventative maintenance
- Experience providing manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and repair
- Previous experience in a steel or metal shop recommended
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of lathes, mills, lasers, brake presses, shears, robotics and other manufacturing equipment highly preferred. Steel or metal shop experience a plus
- Familiarity with typical maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to identify potential issues or hazards
- Strong problem-solving skills
