Wingard & Company Inc., a growing Baltimore, MD manufacturing company, is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our organization. We are a world class manufacturer of electrical steel laminations and other precision Aerospace metal parts.

This is a full time, non-exempt position with a 4-day work week!
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping machines and equipment in safe operating condition by performing preventative maintenance, machine tests, troubleshoots, inspections, removing technical issues, and performing emergency repairs as needed. The duties performed may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical systems, and CMMS.
- Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem area, using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Remove and replace worn or defective parts. of drive mechanism or hydraulic systems.
- Continuously upgrade equipment to improve operating efficiencies.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on schedule with appropriate record keeping.
- Monitor lubrication systems and address, as needed.
- Add/change electrical wiring, as needed.
- Provide electrical and electronic equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
- Comply and enforce Lockout/Tag Out procedures.
- Follow all established quality, safety, and production procedures.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Ability to understand, troubleshoot and repair industrial electronics systems.
- Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.
- Regular use of various power and hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
- Effective computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office applications and CMMS
- Use of Servo systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Electrical experience and knowledge electrical control systems required.
- Mechanical experience required.
- Fabrication experience preferred but not required.
- Die Stamping machine experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) for an extended period.
