We are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support our metal and coatings manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency and safety.
· Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment, including mixers, ovens, conveyors, spray booths, presses, coating lines, and other specialized machinery.
· Craft skills to install, troubleshoot, repair & maintain a wide range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatics systems and equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency and safety.
· Repair and maintain motors, drives, pumps, valves, gearboxes, and control panels.
· Electrical Work with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) to identify and resolve automation issues.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into manufacturing processes.
· Install and commission electrical systems, ensuring reliable operation.
· Fabricate or modify components using welding, machining, or metalworking tools.
· Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and parts inventories.
· Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and upgrades.
· Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
· Collaborate with production, engineering, and EHS teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
· High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
· Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably metal or coatings.
· Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong demonstrable knowledge of electronics, electrical, HVAC, hydraulics, machining, and mechanical theory
· Strong oral and written communication, excellent computer skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work requirements, and attention to detail are essential.
· Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
· Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varied conditions (heat, noise).
· Experience with metal fabrication equipment, powder coating systems, or surface treatment processes.
· Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC codes, and lockout/tagout procedures.
· 3 – 5 years’ experience in Lean Manufacturing and TPM with developing TPM procedures
