POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all plant equipment and facilities. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize plant performance.
- Supervise and lead maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, including pumps, motors, compressors, blowers, chillers, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues to ensure timely repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory of spare parts.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to support equipment, reliability, and efficiency.
- Manage contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and recommend improvements to reduce costs and downtime.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Experience with biogas or renewable energy plant operations.
- Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and basic programming.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermography).
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
- OSHA 30-hour General Industry Safety Certification.
- Electrical or Mechanical Journeyman License (preferred).
- Confined Space Entry and Lockout/Tagout training.
- Ability to work in outdoor and indoor plant environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in confined spaces when required.
