We are looking for a talented Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Oklahoma City.
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day logistics and shipping execution, including domestic and international shipments, freight coordination, and shipping documentation. This role serves as a key liaison with freight carriers and customs brokers, supports shipping and receiving activities. The position helps monitor performance and cost effectiveness as Valiant expands its international sourcing. Logistics coordinator will work closely cross-functionally with procurement, inventory, and accounting teams.
- Coordinate outbound shipments, including scheduling freight carriers and preparing shipment documentation (packing slips, commercial invoices, labels, BOLs)
- Track and follow up on inbound shipments to ensure timely delivery and proper receipt
- Receive and log incoming materials; verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders
- Prepare international shipping documentation including HTS classification, COO declarations, and commercial invoices
- Liaise with customs brokers on international shipments; provide accurate tariff codes and resolve documentation issues
- Maintain communication with freight forwarders and Suppliers
- Manage logistics and compliance-related emails, flagging and escalating time-sensitive matters
- Generate freight reports as assigned to support cost tracking and shipping trends
- Conduct periodic freight cost comparisons and support freight forwarder assessments as Valiant expands shipments across multiple countries
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or logistics certification preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or international logistics
- Familiarity with domestic and international shipping requirements, including customs documentation
- Basic understanding of tariff codes (HTSUS), Incoterms, and international trade compliance preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook); familiarity with shipping platforms (FedEx, UPS, DHL, freight portals)
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills
