About Us

Peaskie Minerals is a premier supplier of domestically sourced proppants and silica flour to the West Central Sedimentary Basin (WCSB). Our facility is located approximately 12 km north of Redwater or a 45-minute drive from north Edmonton.

Please note this is NOT a camp position. Candidates must live in the area or be willing to commute.

Position: Loader Operator

Terms of Employment: Seasonal

Rate: $34.65/hourly – $40.43/hourly, Overtime after 8 hours per day

Schedule: 7 on / 7 off, Days and Nights - 12 hours per day

Duties & Responsibilities

· Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner

· Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment

· Understand and follow directions from supervisors as required to work area

· Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material; move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled, or dump material

· Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance

· Operate loader on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones’ surroundings

· Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader

· Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Loader

· Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required

· Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics

· Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics

Education & Training

· Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license

Pre-Employment Screening

· Clean/Acceptable Driver Abstract
