About the Position Warner Norcross + Judd is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team in Bloomfield Hills. This onsite role provides comprehensive administrative and legal support to Partners, Associates, Paralegals, and other timekeepers, primarily within our litigation practice while maintaining the flexibility and willingness to be trained in family law. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment supporting up to four timekeepers.
About the Opportunity Responsibilities:
- Prepare, type, and format correspondence, pleadings, briefs, memos, and other legal documents, ranging from simple to highly complex, ensuring accuracy and professionalism
- Proofread all documents for spelling, grammar, consistency, and formatting
- Transcribe dictation as needed
- Maintain electronic client files systematically, ensuring proper filing of emails, documents, and converted hard-copy materials
- Open new matters and ensure accuracy of client information and compliance with firm procedures
- Coordinate delivery of documents and projects through courier, hand delivery, or other required services
- Manage telephone communications professionally, respond to client requests, and keep timekeepers informed of conversations and updates
- Monitor deadlines, track docket information, and coordinate electronic filings with federal, state, and local courts and agencies
- Manage attorney calendars, travel arrangements, expenses, meetings, and practice group logistics
- Review and edit time entries in Intapp Time to ensure accuracy before weekly and monthly deadlines
- Proofread and process client billing memos and coordinate special billing arrangements when needed
- Delegate tasks to Practice Group Support Specialists, administrative departments, and vendors to enhance workflow efficiency
- Provide coverage and backup support for other timekeepers when team members are absent and coordinate vacation schedules to maintain seamless support

About You
Experience, Education, and Training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of litigation experience required
- Experienced or willing to become experienced in family law
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite and related applications
The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an employee in order to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. These include being both mobile and stationary throughout the workday, having the ability to transport 25 pounds and being able to operate a computer and other business equipment found in the office.
