The laboratory technician is to work at our facility located in the vicinity of Fairfield, TX. The Company’s projects throughout the United States involve large quantities of fly ash and other coal combustion residuals that require testing prior and after beneficiation for use in concrete products. Primary testing methods include a variety of analytical chemistry techniques and other testing methods.
· Conducting laboratory experiments for testing fly ash and other CCR materials.
· Samples management, including but not limited to receipt, shipping, delivery, storage and organization in a laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
· May require travel to other company sites for sample collection and delivery, but travel will be limited to 10% or less of employee’s time
· Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of laboratory equipment
· Maintain regular inventory of lab chemicals and supplies, coordinate with external vendors.
· Additional tasks as requested by the management
· Meeting schedules and creating and maintaining a harmonious working environment
· Ensure a safe working environment, utilize company Job Hazard Analysis and work with management to provide information to keep Lab work area clear of hazards and identify potential problems
· Associates or Bachelors degree in STEM or related filed.
· Ability to read and understand ASTM standards and procedures related to fly ash and concrete
· Full adherence to OSHA and Company Safety Policies
· Self-Starter, ability to meet production goals and modify schedules to fit requirements
· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future visa sponsorship
· Must be able to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
· Agree to attend Company’s Safety Training Program and acknowledgement receipt of such training
· Agree to receive, review and acknowledge receipt of the Company’s Information Technology Manual
