2 days a week, 16-20 hours
Our ideal candidate will enjoy working with numbers and be fluent in Excel. A sleuth at heart, they will naturally dig for the correct information and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail. Our new teammate will have several years of experience in construction and landscaping-related billing practices. They will love our casual workspace and enjoy visits from our office dogs. Our ideal teammate would enjoy getting out of the house a couple of days a week for in-person work with our small, close-knit team. Our new teammate will be reliable, steady, self-motivated, trustworthy, loyal, and possess a 'can-do' attitude, as well as a love for nature and life.
While construction and landscaping billing experience is preferred, it is not required. If you have three or more years of billing experience, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
•Prepare invoices and statements accurately and promptly
•Calculate 'time and materials' job sheets accurately and efficiently
•Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any billing discrepancies in a professional manner
•Maintain client records and update billing information as needed
•Create and update Excel Spreadsheets
•Collaborate with the Office Manager and the Owner to ensure accurate billing information
•Provide administrative support such as proofreading, filing, organizing documents, and collaborating with the Office Manager and the Owner.
•We are a landscape company. While the majority of this position will be indoors and handling billing tasks, from time to time, you may be asked to organize in the shop or perform other duties outdoors, such as watering, & repotting plants.

Qualifications:
•3 years of previous experience in a similar role (Preference is given to an individual with contractor or landscape company billing experience)
•Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
•Working knowledge of cash basis accounting vs accrual-based accounting
•Excellent organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
•Proficient in using computer software programs, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Email, Venmo, and the ability to work efficiently with a MacBook.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Excellent customer service. Ability to remedy billing problems and resolve customer issues in a productive and considerate way that promotes client longevity.
