Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative

SUMMARY:

SCC is a privately held manufacturer of insulated electronic wire and cable products for Military & Aerospace high performance industrial applications. We currently have an opening for an inside Sales/Customer Service Representative. Prospective candidates must have excellent communication skillsboth verbal and written; should have a proven record of growing existing accounts, as well as developing new accounts; and any background they have in manufacturing is a plus. Qualified candidates will possess strong sales skills in a related field as well as strong computer skills. Wire and Cable experience a plus. Competitive salary and excellent benefits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Act as main conduit for customer communications.

· Determine and understand customer requirements and communicate those customer requirements throughout the organization.

· Respond to requests for quotation from customers, follow-up on quotes and enter orders resulting from quotes. Ability to understand margins and creating quotes in an ever-changing market.

· Review orders entered by other Sales Representatives for accuracy.

· Respond to customer requests for expedites. Communicate order status to customer.

· Maintain clear records of communications with customers.

· Understand and follow written procedures. Seek and communicate opportunities for improving company processes.

· Responsible for the completion of assigned duties on time.

· Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Strong interpersonal skills, good organizational skills, good oral/written communication skills, sufficient mathematical ability to calculate sales margins, etc

· 2+ year of sales experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time Mon - Fri 8am-5pm

Specialty Cable Corporation is a 65,000 square foot air conditioned manufacturing facility in Wallingford, CT comprised of approximately 60 team members.

Salary is negotiable and dependent upon experience, knowledge and background.
