About This Job

Job Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative plays a critical role in supporting customer satisfaction and company growth by processing quotes and orders, coordinating with production, and proactively developing customer relationships. This individual will be responsible for managing incoming inquiries, preparing accurate cost estimates, maintaining order documentation, and driving sales growth through effective communication and technical understanding of our manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Prepare quotations, process orders, and handle all related customer service activities with accuracy and efficiency.

•

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to calculate accurate estimates and track order status through completion.

•

Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through phone, email, and occasional in-person meetings.

•

Proactively seek new business opportunities by contacting potential customers and presenting company products and services.

•

Work to achieve or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to overall company profit goals.

•

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, materials (including various types of steel and metals), and manufacturing processes.

•

Ensure timely and professional communication with customers to support ongoing satisfaction and retention.

•

Performs additional duties as needed to support organizational goals.

Qualifications:

•

Minimum 3 years of inside sales experience in a manufacturing environment.

•

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management abilities.

•

Solid math skills for calculating quotes, margins, and pricing.

•

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/CRM systems is a plus.

•

Familiarity with different types of steel and metal materials.

•

Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain manufacturing processes.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

•

Primarily office-based with occasional visits to the shop floor or customer sites.

•

Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
