Industrial Maintenance / Mechanic

Josh Steel Company is a family-owned and operated scrap yard located in Braddock, PA. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Time Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of plumbing, electrical, engine repairs, heavy equipment, and hydraulics

Responsibilities:

- Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on company equipment

- Inspect equipment and communicate findings with operators

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues

- Conduct vehicle inspections and routine service

- Replace or repair tires as needed

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment

- Maintain accurate service records

Qualifications:

- Performs maintenance services, installation or repairs in one or more skills areas such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, electrical repairs, pneumatic, hydraulic, or vehicle servicing

- Vocational/technical certification or training preferred

- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and diesel engines

- Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical systems

- Valid driver’s license required

- Ability to work in outdoor environments

- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
