Human Resources Specialist

What You Will Do:

Spartan Energy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our growing team. As an HR Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our company’s HR initiatives and programs. You will work closely with our HR team and other departments to ensure smooth HR operations, and you will help us attract, retain and develop top talent.

Responsibilities:

- Provide day to day HR support, including managing employee files, handling HR inquiries and assisting with HR projects

- Onboard new hires, ensuring they receive the necessary information and training to successfully start their new role; on a weekly basis

- Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes and terminations

- Maintain HR systems and databases, ensuring they are up to date and accurate

- Provide support for HR compliance and legal issues, including advising on HR policies and procedures

- Provide payroll support

- Assist in special projects as requested

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources or related field

- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role. Experience at a startup is preferred

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Attention to detail and organizational abilities

- Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices

- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion

- Experience with HR software and systems

- Good problem solving and team management abilities
