Job Summary
The Human Resources (HR) Manager reports directly to the COO and is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to regional operations and multiple departments within the organization. This role focuses on full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, policy development, compliance, employee tracking and reporting, and contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices. The HR Manager also administers all leave and accommodation programs, including FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and Return to Work. This position can be based out our Watford City or Williston ND office.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
•Manage full-cycle recruitment, including screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, coordinating with hiring managers, preparing job offers, and overseeing pre-employment requirements (e.g., background checks, MVRs, drug screening).
•Lead new hire orientation, coordinate first-day logistics, and ensure clear communication of expectations to new employees.
•Serve as the primary contact for employee relations matters; conduct investigations, mediate workplace conflicts, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policy.
•Administer and monitor all employee leave and accommodation programs, including FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, and Return to Work processes.
•Maintain accurate and compliant employee records; manage data entry and auditing in HRIS to ensure documentation is complete.
•Process Personnel Change Forms and ensure timely entry and approval within the HRIS.
•Partner with other departments to analyze HR data and produce meaningful reports, metrics, and recommendations.
•Maintain compliance with labor laws, including labor law postings and regulatory reporting requirements.
•Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook content.
•Support HR initiatives including workforce planning, succession planning, and performance management programs.
•Provide insight and data analysis for wage and bonus planning, and support leadership development.
•Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the CEO
Required Skills and Abilities
•High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
•Strong understanding of HR best practices and current employment laws and regulations.
•Ability to interpret and implement HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
•Strong analytical and reporting skills; able to provide meaningful insights to leadership.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
•Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence outcomes.
•Experience supporting or developing succession planning and workforce strategies.
•Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
Education and Experience
Required:
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
•Minimum five (5) years of HR generalist experience.
•At least two (2) years of experience leading comprehensive HR functions, including full-cycle recruiting and compliance support.
Preferred:
•Five (5) or more years of experience in the construction, manufacturing, or oil and gas industries.

Work Environment
•Work is primarily performed in an office setting; occasionally at client sites or field locations with advance notice.
•The noise level may vary from moderate to loud depending on the environment.
•Some travel may be required.
