At Unica Enterprises, we are a growing facilities and logistics services company committed to building a high-performing, people-first culture. We are seeking an experienced and bilingual HR Manager to lead our Human Resources operations across multiple sites. This is a hands-on leadership role that oversees all aspects of HR, including employee relations, compliance, payroll processing, recruitment, and benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee and manage all core HR functions: employee relations, performance management, workers’ compensation, and policy enforcement for small business with 150 employees located throughout Texas and Oklahoma.
•Lead full-cycle recruitment and onboarding, ensuring the successful integration of new hires.
•Administer employee benefits and serve as the point of contact for benefits-related questions and enrollments.
•Conduct workplace investigations and manage disciplinary actions in alignment with company policy and employment law.
•Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on performance, conflict resolution, and employee development.
•Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture by supporting engagement initiatives and strong internal communication.
•Facilitate employee training and compliance sessions, including orientation and ongoing development programs.
•Process bi-weekly payroll in Paylocity and ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour regulations.
•Respond to wage garnishments and child support documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
•Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and proper documentation across all HR systems and files.
•Maintain compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA/SBA) and support union-related communication.
•Respond to unemployment claims through TWC and represent the company in hearings when necessary.
•Manage workers’ compensation claims, coordinate with medical providers, and ensure timely reporting and documentation.
•Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.).
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
•Minimum of 3-5 years progressive HR experience, including at least 2 year in a leadership or management capacity.
•Bilingual (English and Spanish) prefered.
•Experience processing payroll, preferably in Paylocity or similar platform.
•Solid understanding of HR compliance, labor law, and best practices.
•Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Must pass E-Verify and extensive background check prior to employment.
Salary: $75,000 – $95,000, based on experience
