The Global Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR operations for Actlabs Canada, Techni-Labs in Quebec, and all global affiliate operations (current and future). This senior role requires strategic oversight and operational execution across diverse legal, cultural, and regulatory landscapes. The incumbent will serve as a key advisor to leadership, ensure compliance with applicable labour laws worldwide, and foster a cohesive, high-performing global workforce.
· Develop and implement global HR strategies aligned with Actlabs’ corporate goals.
· Lead HR operations in Canada, Quebec, South America, Mexico, Africa, and future affiliate regions.
· Ensure compliance with Canadian, Quebec, and international employment laws.
· Serve as subject matter expert for senior leadership and provide global HR guidance.
· Manage and coach a team of HR professionals across regions.
· Lead weekly HR team meetings and one-on-one sessions.
· Approve and oversee HR transactions including hires, transfers, and terminations.
· Lead annual performance reviews and merit review processes.
· Direct global recruitment, onboarding, and culturally appropriate hiring practices.
· Act as the policy, compliance & legal liaison
· Interpret and ensure compliance with legislative requirements across all jurisdictions.
· Liaise with legal counsel and government agencies as needed.
· Lead conflict resolution and employee relations initiatives globally.
· Monitor probationary reviews, PIPs, and disciplinary actions.
· Lead staff development, engagement, and organizational culture initiatives
· Design and deliver training programs for managers and employees.
· Develop global leadership, coaching, and employee engagement initiatives.
· Lead HR digitization projects and systems automation.
· Maintain global workforce analytics and HR metrics.
· Track and report trends in engagement, retention, and workforce planning.
· Coordinate change management and training needs across global sites.
· Monitor risks and adjust plans to support project success.
· Implement international workforce planning and acquisition strategies.
· Ensure compliance with immigration programs (CUSMA, LMIA, OINP, RCIP etc.).
· Provide real-time HR support to managers, Health and Safety, and leadership on urgent matters.
· Collaborate on joint mental health and wellness initiatives.
· Manage engagement surveys and monthly recognition programmes.
· Develop, performance management criteria (with CFO involvement and input form P&L VP's);
· Develop implement, and audit HR policies and SOP’s. Monitor to ensure compliance with legislation.
· Bachelors’ degree in Human Resource Management; Masters in HR or MBA an asset
· Minimum 5 years in HR team management
· Minimum 5 years in international HR with cross-cultural and legal exposure
· Fluent in English (written and verbal); French and/or Spanish an asset
· Must be legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship
